Who are we?

La Cloche is a French café and delicatessen that opened in the Kaiwharawhara industrial area in May 2006, and have known a huge success since then. Our team is dedicated to bring to our customers a true French experience and remain the same since the beginning.

What do we sell?

La Cloche offers a range of French fine cheeses and home-made products. We also supply a catering service and offer corporate packages for your business meetings. Maybe you heard from La Cloche, as being the place to enjoy croissants, a hearty French Onion Soup, or Escargots de Bourgogne for very affordable price. However, on the top of being a classic place to have French breakfast/lunch or buying your cheese, La Cloche is also a culinary and cultural experience. Our team follows the French Event Calendar, helping you discover every cultural time of the year in France (Les Vendanges, le Tour de France...).

A Francois' culture

"After running Francois' restaurant for 8 years, I had a fair idea of a French Delicatessen potential. It appeared that the Wellington hospitality/retail scene didn't have any French cafe where people could go and do some shopping at the same time. In France, you go out to buy your baguette or croissant with your coffee, and then you buy your food at your local delicatessen on your way home. I wanted La Cloche to offer this French tradition to Wellington."
